Who we need

Public Spirit depends totally on the quality of our associates. We prefer people who have demonstrable senior management experience in any area of the Public Sector, particularly  Local Government, Central Government and associated agencies, the National Health Service, Education and Charities.

We will also consider people with strong IT and HR management and skills based  experience in other areas, particularly Professional Services firms.

In addition to standard employer references, we would like at least two peer references from people who can verify your skills and experience as colleagues or clients.

The way we work.

We aim to offer business flexibility. This means that we will only place people with appropriate skills from our register. Assignments may be  very short term (days) or medium term (up to 6 months).

We aim to build regular business and a real team spirit. As part of this we offer credits towards formal training to maintain your skills as well as workshops designed to share knowledge within our organisation.

The intermittent, but intense nature of our assignments means that we are particularly suited to Senior Managers who have recently taken retirement but want to maintain current skills and some income, or people who wish to make a contribution to the Public Sector, but adopt a more flexible life style for family or travel reasons.
